In the case of MG, the Chinese brand, which is making a big breakthrough in the old continent, presents its three most effective models to the European public, namely: MG4 XPowerTHE Marvel R-Performance and Cyberster roadster. It is the latter that interests us here.

A return to tradition?

MG decided to make the Cyberster their own floweret. He is also headlining the MG stand at this show in Munich. As the MG brand was captured in the 2005 year from a Chinese manufacturer SAIC-Motor, the latter quickly departed from its traditions. With this Cyberster MG won’t try to approach those roots with a wink sports roadster of that time ?

According to the manufacturer, the MG Cyberster combines the heritage of the legendary convertible line with a modern design, powered by an all-electric powertrain.

Power level, this is serious!

MG Cyberster will be available in two versions with one or two electric motors. The first version propeller equipped with a single electric motor that develops a whopping 314 hp, which will be quite enough to have fun driving.

As for the second version, the latter is offered in all-wheel drive. It is equipped with two electric motors developing a total power of 544 hp.

With 1,985 kg on the scale, the Cyberster in its most powerful version achieves an impressive 0-100 km/h acceleration time of: 3.2 seconds.

Autonomy is confirmed

For now, we only have MG measurements for range. In general, two batteries with a capacity of 64 to 77 kWh are offered. The Chinese brand announces maximum autonomy 579 km in the CLTC cycle (The Chinese equivalent of the WLTP cycle). To see if the Cyberster is still above the bar by European standards Range of 500 km.

A spectacle and a real high-level move
