Smart #3 is inspired new aesthetics defined Smart #1, which has a more dynamic look thanks to the sloping roofline and rear spoiler. Its smooth muscular curves serve not only aesthetics. It is also important to improve its aerodynamic efficiency!
From the front, the car has a rather sporty look, highlighted by headlights with LEDs connected by a thin light edging, as well as an imposing lattice in the lower part. There are also large side air intakes. The LED taillights have the same pixelated light signature as #1.
A very sporty interior for Smart #3
The interior of this Smart #3 is a contradiction in terms. The very sporty interior is divided into two parts by a rather large central tunnel. There are several exits for ventilation in the form working wheels, and, in particular, the instrument panel, which includes a large central touchscreen 12.8 inches. A tiny screen behind the steering wheel acts as a digital dashboard. In addition, the raised center console offers some very practical storage spaces.
The car is also equipped with a Beats the sound system including 13 speakers. In addition, the Smart guarantees better capacity compared to the Smart #1 thanks to the extended wheelbase (2.79 m, about 3.5 cm longer).
Electric motor with a capacity of 274 hp
Based on SAE platform Geely group, Smart #3 will supply several different engines to Europe. The electric model will also have several trims: Pro + and Premium in addition to the 25th anniversary and Brabus version, for home cooking.
The first three versions are powered by a 200 kW power unit, i.e. 272 hp for 343 Nm torque Smart #3 Brabus offers two engines, located on the front and rear axles, with a total power of 315 kW or 428 hp. and 543 Nm of torque. Enough to show top-notch acceleration!
All this cavalry is powered by a 60kWh battery that offers between 415 AND 455 kilometers autonomy depending on the version. Finally, on the subject of recharging, the Smart #3 accepts up to 150kW of DC, enough to go from 10% to 80% of its capacity in just 30 minutes.
