​Romanian champions Farul Constanta announced on Tuesday that they have reached an agreement to terminate the contract of defender Zorhan Bassong.

At the age of 24, Bassong was transferred from FC Argesh this summer, but he only played 71 minutes against FC Hermannstadt (1-0, first leg of the Super League) and one half against FC Voluntari (second leg ).
“Good luck, Zoran! Mayak and Canadian defender Zorhan Bassong have decided to terminate contractual relations by mutual consent! Zorhan Bassong played in only two matches for Farul,” the Romanian champion wrote on Facebook.
During his career, Bassong also played for Mouscron, Anderlecht and Lille (at junior level), Club Brugge and Montreal.
After being relegated to the Conference League playoffs, Farul were humiliated 4-0 by Kraiova 1948 in the eighth stage of the Super League. The team coached by Hyke Hagi is ranked 10th with 9 points and a goal difference of 11-14.
