Metz, 3 matches without failure in the French championship

Despite losing 5-1 in the first leg against Rennes, Metz went on a 3-match unbeaten run in Ligue 1.

With Ladislav Boloni on the bench, Metz were held to a 2-2 draw by Reims in the fourth round of the French Championship at the end of a very lively match.

Sheik Sabali opened the scoring in the 7th minute for the team trained by the Romanian technician, but the visitors restored the tie 10 minutes later through Umar Diakite.

Teddy Teuma gave Reims the lead in the second half (52 minutes), but this time it was Metz’s turn to equalise.

The second goal for the home team was scored by Gambian player Abli Jallow (min. 63), and also established the final score of the meeting.

It was Metz’s third game without failure in Ligue 1 after 2-2 with Marseille and 1-0 with Clermont.
