
Stanislas Wawrinka crashed out of the 2023 US Open in the third round as the Swiss was defeated in four sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2, by sixth seed Yannick Sinner of Flushing Meadows.
The match at Louis Armstrong Arena lasted two hours and 58 minutes.
At the age of 38, nicknamed “Stanimal” won three Grand Slam titles during his career (Australian Open 2014, Roland Garros 2015 and US Open 2016).
