Victor Corney and Serbian Nikola Cacic exited the US Open in the first round of doubles, leaving Romania without a male representative at an American Grand Slam.

After three sets, Cornea and Cacic lost to Robin Haase (Netherlands) / Nikola Mektic (Croatia), 6-3, 6(5)-7, 7-6(6).

The game lasted two hours and 33 minutes.

Victor Cornea and Nikola Kacic will receive a check for $22,000 for entering the main draw.
