
A cargo vessel is in danger of sinking in the outer road of the port of Constanţa, and two boats of the Romanian Maritime Rescue Agency (ARSVOM) have gone to the area to provide assistance.
The ship is carrying wheat, and there are eight people on board.
ARSVOM announced that around 15:00, the vessel Sar Phoenix, belonging to the Romanian Maritime Rescue Agency, went to the outer road of the port of Constanţa to assist a general cargo ship that was in danger of sinking.
“Vanuatu-flagged ship JETMAX 2 has a 15° port roll and power failure. An ARSVOM-owned tug Brizo has also arrived in the area following MRCC’s alert, which is also providing assistance pending further instructions,” ARSVOM said.
