Karen Khachanov, Borna Corych, Tallon Grikspur and Hugo Humbert were eliminated from the US Open

Last year’s semi-finalist at Flushing Meadows, Russian Karen Khachanov, was decisively defeated by American Michael Mmoh (89 ATP), 6-2, 6-4, 6-2.

Croatia’s Borna Coric, who reached the quarterfinals of the 2020 US Open (his best Grand Slam finish), lost in three sets to Argentina’s Sebastian Baez (32 ATP), 7-5, 7-5, 6-1.

Frenchman Hugo Humbert lost his match against Italian Matteo Berrettini (2019 semi-finalist) 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 without the right to appeal.
