“We expect them to spread to other countries in the next few hours. Members of the Federation of Trade Unions from the “Solidarity” Fiscal Administration, which is part of the National Bank of Romania, are also participating in the protests. This is in response to the lack of response from the Ministry of Finance and the Government of Romania to address the demands of the trade unions,” BNS said in a Facebook post.

SED Lex Finanțe reminds that protests in front of institutions in support of claims of an economic, professional and social nature continue for the second week:

  • wage equalization – equal pay for equal work
  • separate professional family in wage law
  • drawing up the financier’s charter.

According to Sed Lex, which criticizes the claims of Kelemen Hunor, by underfunding the tax system in Romania, “politicians indirectly protected the interests of large companies that maximize their profits and do not pay taxes.”

Unions also point out that Treasury staff never blocked digitization as it would have given them time to focus mainly on important activities rather than waiting 3 hours to open an application.
