Not a day goes by that the regional press does not delight us with road traffic champions, between ridiculous speeding, driving without licenses and insurance and other dangerous and sometimes quite absurd behavior. In truth, when we know that more than 800,000 people drive without cover, and many motorists hit the road without even having the right to do so, there is nothing surprising. Although this is obviously still very disturbing. And the story we will tell you is not very far from everything we tell you here. We explain everything to you, and it’s snacks!
Reflections on the project to no longer deduct points from the driver’s license of drivers guilty of minor speeding continue! https://t.co/w2bQX7OYx4

Excessive speeding
The case takes place on Tuesday, August 22, at RD 929 near Yerville. Gendarmes check the speed when they see a car traveling at 150 km/h instead of the standard 80 km/h. Unless the driver refuses to stop and runs away. Then he loses control of the car, ends up in a potato field and tries to escape on foot. Except that gendarmes from the surveillance and intervention unit of the Iveto gendarmerie and the Ecal-Alix motorized brigade quickly found the fugitive. And it must be difficult for him.
More permissions
Indeed, the police find out that the driver fled to his employer, and his driver’s license was revoked two years ago for similar facts. He was therefore taken into custody and brought to cimmediate appearance before the Court of Rouen. In the end, he was sentenced to twelve months in prison, four of which were suspended. The man is also required to undergo a course of treatment for alcohol intoxication and re-obtain a driver’s license.
