Roberto Manisii, the new coach of the Saudi Arabian national team – a salary of 25 million euros per year

Mancini agreed with the Saudi leadership and signed a contract until 2027 with an annual salary of 25 million euros, writes Gazzetta dello Sport.

The new selector will be officially presented on Monday in Riyadh by the president of the Saudi Arabian federation, Yasser Al Mishehal.

The Italian will make his debut on September 8 when Saudi Arabia play Costa Rica in a friendly in Newcastle.

Roberto Mancini’s aim is to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, as well as increase the value of the national team in order to host the 2030 World Cup.

After parting ways with the European champions, Mancini admitted that Saudi Arabia had shown interest in his services, but said he had left the Squadra Azzurro because he was concerned about the excessive involvement of Gabriele Gravina, the president of the Italian Football Federation.

Meanwhile, the former coach of “Napoli” Luciano Spalletti moved to the bench of the reserve team of Italy.
