
Braila’s emergency department reported that 22 people were injured in the accident that happened yesterday evening between the towns of Bareganul and Insurashey.
19 victims were taken to UPU Brăila and 3 to UPU Ialomiţa.
“There are 10 men and 12 women between the ages of 11 and 78, one of whom is a minor. They had craniocerebral polytraumas, limb wounds, fractures, pains in various parts of the body,” ISU Brăila notes.
Other passengers were accommodated in a cultural hostel in Bărăganu.
“Around 00:10, the police were alerted by the number 112 that there was an accident with several victims on DE 584, between the towns of Bărăganul and Insuraţei. The police went to the scene and during the first investigative actions established the fact that a 47-year-old man, a citizen of Bulgaria, while driving a bus carrying 72 people, citizens of the Republic of Moldova, on DE 584, from Insuraţei in the direction of Bărăganul, would have hit the semi-trailer that was on the roadway is properly marked,” ISU Brăila notes.
Red intervention plan was activated by ISU Brăila at 00:40.
The driver was tested on a breathalyzer, the result was zero, biological samples were taken at the hospital.
