“The Wagner group is no longer a serious force, as it was a year ago. They are broken,” Oleksiy Reznikov said in an interview with the German Sunday weekly Welt am Sonntag, France-Presse and Agerpres report.

According to the Ukrainian minister, the alleged disappearance of Prigozhin “weakened” Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Because he showed the world that if Putin makes an agreement with someone and breaks the agreement, then he can no longer be trusted,” Reznikov added, according to previously released excerpts from that interview.

After the probable death of Prigozhin in a plane crash in Russia, there were speculations about the possible involvement of the Kremlin in the crash of a private plane that made a flight from Moscow to St. Petersburg. The Russian president’s spokesman denied these statements, calling them “absolute lies.”
