Simona Halep was heard in London by the Sport Resolutions tribunal and is awaiting a verdict on her suspension from tennis in a doping case. The former world leader is trying to distance herself from the difficult situation and is on vacation in Italy.

Simona Halep awaits the verdict of the Sport Resolutions tribunal

Simona Halep is going through a nightmare period for her career, but the former world number one is doing her best to turn her attention to other things.

At the end of June, she was heard in a doping case in which she appears and is still awaiting a verdict from the Sport Resolutions tribunal.

Simona surprised herself quite relaxed on vacation, staying on the island of Capri (Italy) these days.

  • Simona Halep is temporarily suspended from tennis due to a positive test for Roxadustat (conducted during the US Open 2022).
  • Simona’s case is now being heard by Sport Resolutions, an independent court in London that hears doping cases in white sport.
  • However, if innocence cannot be proven, Simone has one more appeal: the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
