Craiova University won their third successive Romanian Super League title with a 3-0 home win over UTA Arad.

The University of Craiova rose to first place in the championship

After the emphatic success in Iasi, Craiova University confirmed the very good form they are experiencing and also beat UTA Arad 3-0.

The team coached by Laurentiu Regekampf opened the scoring quite quickly. Stefan Bayaram scored with a long corner kick in the 8th minute of the game.

Jovan Markovic also came close to scoring after the first half, but Jakob made a decisive save.

Oltenz scored again through Raul Silva, but the defender’s success was canceled out after the centre-back received a message from the VAR room.

In the second half, the visitors restored the tie through Cooper, but the top of the Arad team was offside.

In the next stage, Aleksandru Kretsu doubled the advantage of “University of Craiova”, finishing with a beautiful shot from the penalty area (min. 58).

The final score was set by Skrechiu in the 89th minute.

Thanks to this victory, “Krayova” Regekampfa rises to the first place and collects 14 points. Arad remains in 4th place and drops to 13th.
