
From the fall of 2022, the American manufacturer of electric cars began production Tesla Semi100% electric truck, first presented in 2017 and distinguished by its atypical design, three electric motors and approximately 800 km of autonomy.

An opportunity to learn that Pepsi operates its fleet of Tesla Semis approximately 12 hours a day from Sacramento, mostly during the workday: the models are designed to deliver beverages less than 100 miles a day.
Delivery over medium and long distances
According to a Pepsi representative, it is more profitable to use electric trucks for this type of short distance food delivery trips. However, three units in the fleet are also designed for long-distance delivery, between 400 and 700 kilometers.
For these journeys, Tesla Semis use an effective regenerative braking system that greatly improves range as well as range. Tesla mega chargerswhich theoretically recover 95% of battery life in about 30 minutes of charging.
Fleet managers and Pepsi Tesla Semi drivers also said the models are comfortable and the central driver position makes driving easier.
