President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that there is no alternative to peace, saying in his speech on Saturday evening that it is important for Russia to see international support for Ukraine and normal life.
- “Greece joined the G7 declaration on guarantees for Ukraine. This is already the 14th country. Along with Greece, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden joined. Thanks to each state! And our team will continue to work – for new participants, so that every state and every leader interested in peace and security can demonstrate their leadership in some form of security cooperation.
- There is no alternative to peace. Every country that works with us within the framework of security guarantees for Ukraine, within the framework of the Peace Formula, sends just such a signal to the aggressor state. There will be peace. Aggression loses. It is very important that every week Russia sees new international actions in support of Ukraine and normal life,” Zelenskyy said, according to News.ro.
He thanked the countries that expressed support for Ukraine.
- “Today I want to give special thanks to several countries that have taken new measures this week to improve security, to better protect our people. First, Germany. Two extra Patriot launchers, that’s a big deal. Thank you! Thanks Germany, thanks good people, thanks Olaf!
- Each significant strengthening of our air defense means thousands of lives saved and a real approach to a full-fledged air shield of Ukraine. Every city, every village must be protected. This will become the basis of a pan-European air shield. When Russian terror loses in Ukraine, all of Europe will win,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
“At least 174,000 square kilometers of our country are potentially dangerous due to landmines and unexploded ordnance”
- “This week, our border police received mobile medical units from the Netherlands. In general, the Netherlands is one of the leaders in defense cooperation with Ukraine, in political cooperation. They really protect life. And the humanitarian dimension is also important. Thanks to the Dutch for this! Thank you all! Mark, thank you!
- Azerbaijan is ready to provide a new package of humanitarian support, including demining equipment. This is also one of the key directions of our activities with partners – demining,” he noted.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine needs equipment from partners and that it is very important to create a production base in Ukraine so that the land can be demined.
- “And this task should be completed not in decades, but in years. In total, 174,000 square kilometers of the territory of our country are currently potentially dangerous due to mines and unexploded ordnance. Every day, our experts detect hundreds of explosive objects. And the more we have demining machines, the more we have special demining drones, the more actively we can restore security. We thank every country that helps us!
- And today I want to thank all our specialists who are engaged in demining. They actually work in the field. Demined fields, residential areas, power lines, infrastructure objects. In the last day, 133 pyrotechnic units worked throughout the country. Most of them are located in Kherson, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions. Thank you to everyone who cleanses the Ukrainian land from the traces of Russian terror!”, Zelenskyi said.
Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden joined the G7 Declaration in support of security guarantees. This, along with the Peace Formula, is a signal: peace will come; aggression will not work. pic.twitter.com/GgrV59RNyy
