Poland has shown signs of nervousness after Yevgeny Prigozhin’s private army deployed in neighboring Belarus following a failed uprising against Moscow.
According to the leadership in Minsk, the training of the Belarusian army is carried out by Wagner fighters.
“We don’t know if the sticker campaign is a joke or if there is something more serious behind it,” said a Krakow police spokeswoman.
She also reported that the prosecutor’s office has been notified and the police are identifying the persons who pasted the stickers.
Recruiting for foreign armies and mercenaries, as well as participation in such organizations, is illegal in Poland. Persons who violate these prohibitions face up to five years in prison.
A person was discovered on Wisłynski Boulevard in Warsaw, who was pasting recruitment “stickers” for the Wagner Group.
There is a possibility that this person works for Russian intelligence.
