“I had a separate meeting with the head of intelligence of the army (Kyril) Budanov, with the head of the SBU (Vasyl) Malyuk, with the chief of the (General Staff) Valery Zaluzhny, with the commander of the Navy (Olexii) Neipapa and with the minister of infrastructure (Olexandr Kubrakov) to discuss alternatives for exporting grain through transit corridor. We are doing everything possible so that Ukraine continues to guarantee food security, and our people have access to world markets,” Zelenskyy said in a video address to the nation.

The meeting took place a few days after Kyiv announced the creation of a transit corridor in the Black Sea for foreign ships stuck in Ukrainian ports.

On the other hand, representatives of Romania, Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, as well as representatives of the European Commission and the United States met in Galata on Friday to discuss decisions regarding Ukrainian grain exports due to Russia’s withdrawal from the Black Sea Initiative.

“We constantly work with our partners at all levels. Today, the head of the Office of the President (Andriy) Yermak, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Dmytro) Kuleba, the profile deputies of the Head of the Office of the President Andriy Sybiga and Ihor Yovkva worked with the ambassadors of the partner countries to develop a peace formula to convince the countries to join us,” Volodymyr also said Zelensky to his compatriots in a video message with which he addresses them every evening.

“I spoke with the president of Zambia – about bilateral relations, about the Peace Formula. Another country of the Global South supports our initiatives. This is very important,” said Zelensky.

The Ukrainian leader also said that in addition to daily meetings regarding the situation at the front, he also received a report from the Ministry of Strategy and Industry on Friday regarding Ukraine’s own production of shells and military equipment. “We are increasing the volume of production, we are constantly growing,” he assured.

Zelenskyi again mentioned the SBU, the Security Service of Ukraine, noting that it conducts “significant activity against collaborators” with the enemy, but did not elaborate.

He also mentioned the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council devoted to the issue of “military commissars”.

Earlier on Friday, Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced the dismissal of all regional chiefs responsible for military recruitment in order to eliminate the corruption system that allows new recruits to flee the army.
