“The plane landed safely at 15:25 Moscow time. The cause of the engine failure is being established,” said the interlocutor of the TASS agency, News.ro reports.

The plane, a Boeing 737, lost its left engine during the flight when it was at an altitude of 11,500 meters, writes the independent Russian site The Insider.

As the Telegram channel “Aviatorscina” reports, two and a half hours after takeoff, the captain of the Boeing plane, which had 150 passengers on board, turned on the emergency signal and reported the failure of the left engine. At that time, the plane was over the Tambov region. It was decided to descend from 11,500 meters to 7,000 meters, and the plane finally landed safely at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport, where a state of alert was declared.

There are more and more incidents in Russian aviation

From the middle of 2022, the number of serious accidents in Russian aviation is increasing rapidly. Yes, in the first week of January 2023 there were daily incidents with the chassis.

The nature of many defects is different, but the reason is the same, experts say: sanctions and the lack of quality control of parts that are now bought from African partners, in India and other “friendly countries” without any certification of parts, writes The Insider.

Russian authorities say that the Western ban on the supply of spare parts will not affect domestic aviation, and recall the experience of Iran, which would successfully overcome sanctions. At the same time, they forget to say that in Iran the restrictions have led to an increase in the number of accidents and plane crashes, which has led to victims, the cited publication notes.

In September 2022, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a part of the United Nations, awarded Russia a “red flag” on its safety performance audit page. This happened due to the fact that the deadline given by ICAO to Rosavia to eliminate the double registration of aircraft leased by Russian airlines has expired.

In essence, this means that all other countries in the world can deny Russian aircraft their airspace due to the dangerous state of aircraft in the Russian Federation, reports The Insider.
