Borussia Dortmund missed out on a chance to win the Bundesliga title against rivals Bayern Munich (in the last league match) and the line-up at Signal Iduna Park was bolstered by a player from the reigning champions.
Marcel Zabitzer signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund.
Marcel Zabitzer arrived at Bayern Munich in the summer of 2021, and spent the second half of last season on loan at Manchester United.
The Old Trafford group did not decide to activate the outright buyout clause, so he returned to the German champions.
Quoted at €20 million, Sabitzer wasn’t even part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans at Bayern Munich and was sold to rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Marcel Zabitzer was officially presented by Borussia on Monday and signed a 4-year contract.

In exchange for him, Dortmund paid at least 19 million euros.
This will be Zabitzer’s third Bundesliga club after RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich.
185 matches, 34 goals and 29 assists – these are the figures of the Austrian in the first echelon of German football.
