After a two-week break, the Formula 1 World Championship returns with the 11th stage – the Hungarian Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) was the fastest in practice on Friday evening.
The leader Max Verstappen, only 11th place in the Hungarian GP training
The rain that interrupted the first session did not fall in the second practice, which allowed the pilots to achieve better results.
Mexico’s Sergio Perez, who crashed at the start of the first session, damaging his Red Bull car, returned to the track in the second session, where he produced impressive braking, again showing his difficulties in controlling the car, while his Dutch team-mate Max Verstappen absolutely dominated the championship, writes Agerpres.
Perez was only 18th, while Verstappen was 11th, a far cry from the usual performance at a circuit where Red Bull’s single-seaters are not favored.
In the first free session, the best time was shown by George Russell (Mercedes), followed by Oscar Piastri (McLaren) and Lance Stroll (Aston Martin).
The Grand Prix of Hungary will take place on Sunday from 16:00.
