In a friendly match played in Izmir, Southampton ended in a 1-1 draw against Goztepe.

The Turks opened the scoring in the 26th minute thanks to midfielder Yalcin Kayan, and the English had a chance to equalize in the 58th minute with a shot from 11 meters.

English player and Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse, who decided to take the penalty, caused laughter.

The Saints midfielder slipped as he took the kick, sending his shot past the goal and the stands of the stadium in a moment that went viral on social media.

Only six minutes later, his team equalized with the famous soccer player Carlos Alcaraz.
