Ineos completes the Grenadier line and keeps all the promises made during the presentation of the project. Indeed, the “pickup” version, which is probably the most reliable today, is also available in a “pickup” version.
The Double Cab Pick-Up Quartermaster version is the second model produced by Ineos Automotive and combines all the characteristics of the Grenadier with more versatility, especially in terms of loading. Full specifications and detailed pricing for all markets will be announced 1Er August, and orders will be opened immediately after.
Versatility and strength
Both models were designed and manufactured at the same time, and although they share much of the same architecture and components, the Grenadier Quartermaster frame is 305 mm longer.
This extra space allows for a larger and more versatile cargo compartment, measuring 1.56 meters long and 1.62 meters wide, which can carry a standard 1200 x 800mm Euro pallet.
With carrying capacity 760 kg, it has the same 3,500kg towing capacity as the classic Grenadier and seats five people with all the necessary equipment. The car is also equipped with a strong frame and a waterproof canvas roof or tonneau cover that folds up and locks, and the trunk can accommodate various supports for increased cargo capacity.
The perfect companion for workers?
The Grenadier Quartermaster Ineos offers the same off-road performance as the ‘classic’ model, with 264mm of ground clearance, 800mm of fording capability and greater angles of attack than any other pick-up on the market. Like the Station Wagon and Utility Wagon variants, the pickup is powered by BMW’s 3.0-liter turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
The gas block is assembled 285 hp while diesel offers 249 hp. Power that gives the car decent performance, despite its 3.5 tonnes, from 0 to 100 km/h 8.8 seconds on gasoline and one second more for diesel.
A locking center differential and a short two-speed gearbox are standard, while locking front and rear differentials are available as an option. The Grenadier Quartermaster has the same five-link suspension front and rear, Carraro drive axles and Brembo brakes.
Pricing will be announced once orders open in early August 2023. The Grenadier Station Wagon starts at €75,790, not to mention a penalty of 50% of the car’s price. Thus, the quartermaster must cost more than 100,000 euros with a fine
