Christopher Eubanks knocked out by Daniil Medvedev at Wimbledon

After three hours of play, Medvedev won 6-4, 1-6, 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-1, beating the surprise player of the tournament.

The player from Russia, who plays under a neutral flag in London, started the first set well, leading throughout and it seemed that a place in the semi-finals was just a formality.

But in the second set, the American made a great comeback, dominated and leveled the situation, winning five games in a row.

The former world leader did not wake up in the third set either, and Eubanks took the lead after a solid game.

The fourth set was played on the counterattack, equal to equal, and Medvedev managed to avoid defeat and take it to a tie-break, where he easily won 7-4.

However, in the decider, Eubanks no longer mattered, Medvedev played his game and took full advantage of the American’s fall to qualify for his first Wimbledon semi-final.

The winner of ATP Mallorca two weeks ago, Eubanks managed to eliminate one of the favorites in the round of 16, Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.

In the semi-finals, Danilo Medvedev will meet the winner of the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (1 ATP) and the Dane Holger Run (6 ATP).
