Now it’s official: Nick de Vries (28)’s F1 adventure has ended (at least for now) after just 10 Grand Prix races. The Dutch driver will be replaced by the experienced Daniel Ricciardo (34 years old) until the end of the season.
Nick de Vries replaced by AlfaTauri with Daniel Ricciardo
The modest results recorded on the single-seater AlphaTauri (the best result – 12th place) cost Nick de Vries: he was kicked out.
De Vries is the Formula 2 and Formula E champion, but that hasn’t helped him much to keep his place in Formula 1.
The Formula 1 team immediately announced the name of the replacement: we are talking about Daniel Ricciardo (34 years old), who last played for McLaren (he was removed from the British team after the end of the 2022 season in Grand Circus).
