Cătălin Řtefănescu, the 2020 national and Balkan bodybuilding champion, had a tragic end. He was found dead in a lake in Dambovitsa, in the town of Lazuri. It seems that the 30-year-old athlete drowned while fishing.

Cătălin Ștefănescu was fishing with a friend on the fateful day. A friend of the bodybuilder was briefly away from the place where the two were fishing, and when he returned, he found him drowned, writes targovistenews.ro.

Investigators must establish the exact circumstances under which the tragedy occurred, and also take into account the possibility of its victims, especially since the water on this perimeter did not exceed one meter.

“The lake administrator informed the police about the death of a person. After arriving at the scene, the police established that a 30-year-old man was found drowned while fishing on Lake Lazuri.”
