
​Vlad Stanku won the silver medal in the 800m freestyle on Saturday night at the European Junior Swimming Championships in Belgrade.

With a time of 7:49.68, Stanku set a new national record and reached the A scale for the Paris Olympics.
On Saturday, Vlad was overtaken by Bulgarian Mitsin Petar (7:47.45, a new European junior record).
