“Three people died,” the city’s mayor, Andriy Sadovy, said in his Telegram channel.

He said the street will remain closed until emergency workers sort through the wreckage and remove all the dead.” In an earlier post, Sadovy said eight people were injured, but it was unclear whether the three deaths were included in that tally.

According to him, about 60 apartments and 50 cars were damaged.

The governor of the region, Maksym Kozytsky, published a 13-second video showing a four-story residential building, parts of the upper floors of which are missing or standing in ruins.
