Alfa Romeo Tonale: a model specially equipped for carabiners
This is the first time that a C-segment SUV has been used by the carabinieri: the Alfa Romeo Tonale was chosen for its versatility in operation, improving the comfort of officers during long working days.
Alfa Romeo Tonale carabiners are equipped with a 1.5-liter hybrid engine with a capacity of 163 horsepower and a 7-speed TCT automatic transmission. It wears the traditional blue and red colors with a white roof and featuresspecific equipment : partial shielding for officer protection, one camera for safe transport of prisoners, two-tone electronic siren, flashing blue LED lights.
The interior has been redesigned and modified to provide maximum comfort for officers and adapt to special equipment such as body armor, high visibility torches, long weapons, etc.
