Mamadou Thiam has signed a contract with Al-Arabi Sports Club

Mamadou Thiam arrived in the summer of 2022 at the University of Cluj, brought in without a contract after parting ways with the Belgians from Oostende.

The 28-year-old has developed well under Yoan Ovidiu Sabau and was one of the team’s most important players in the recently concluded season behind Aleksandr Chipcu.

Mamadou Thiama was wanted by FCSB this summer, but the Romanian vice-champions failed to reach an agreement with the University of Cluj over a definitive transfer.

In 33 matches for Cluj University, Thiam scored 11 goals.

The Transylvanians received an offer from Kuwait, and on Monday announced the parting with the forward for 700,000 euros, according to Transfermarkt

“Thank you, Mamadou Thiam!
