Romania collected 17 medals (6 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze) and took 14th place in the ranking of the European Games in Krakow – Lesser Poland (Poland).

Romania, 14th place in the medal tally of the 2023 European Games

Romania participated in the European Games with 150 athletes (74 women, 76 men) in 18 sports.

In the last test of the Romanian delegation, the men’s doubles pair Apor Djordjak/Sabolc Ilyes was defeated in the final for bronze in tacball by the Polish pair Adrian Dusak/Marek Pokwap with a score of 2-1 (12-1, 8-12 12-10), writes Agerpres.

Know:

• The final overall medal count was led by Italy (30 gold, 26 silver, 38 bronze), followed by Spain (20-15-19) and Ukraine (20-11-8).

• At the first European Games in Baku 2015, Romania took 17th place in the medal ranking with a balance of 3 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals, and in Minsk 2019 it finished 26th (2-3-5).
