Juventus in Turin announced on Friday that they have parted ways with Colombian midfielder Juan Cuardado, who has made 300 appearances for Italy.
Juan Cuardado ended his contract with Turin “Juventus”.
Having arrived in Turin in 2015, first on loan from Chelsea, and then permanently in 2017, the 35-year-old player has long since entered the history of the club.
In eight years at Juventus, Cuardado made 314 appearances, scored 26 goals and made 59 assists, winning 11 trophies.
In farewell, the club decided to dedicate an emotional message to him.
“Today, after eight seasons, it’s time to say goodbye as Juan Cuardado leaves Juventus.
Eight unforgettable years. Year after year, Panitha has been one of the undisputed players, regardless of position, tactics or jersey number.
Eight years full of joy, smiles, jokes and enthusiasm. Juan conquered the fans in a unique way, becoming a landmark on and off the field.
Eight years of dizzying dribbles, crazy runs that sometimes changed the game. That goal in the Derby della Mole on 31 October 2015 was his first goal for the team, which began a comeback that led to the title.
Eight years of goals, four of them against Torino, but let’s not forget the goals against Lyon or Inter.
And this year his contribution has been significant, after 47 games saw him reach 300 appearances for the black and whites.
The emotions he evoked in all of us will remain indelible,” Juventus announced on its official website.
It was an extraordinary trip.
