Former mayor of Sector 3 Liviu Negoice joined Dan Voiculescu’s party, the Humanist Social Liberal Party, on Friday. This was announced by PUSL Executive President Cristian Popescu Piedone, Mayor of Sector 5, at the National Council of Formation.

“Now, if Negoice, I can say, the father of the local administration in Bucharest, who does not recognize this, I recognized that the development of Bucharest started from here, which means the territory, the green areas, with Liviu Negoice. I can say that the future mayor of Sector 3, together with all of us and with Piedone, will be Liviu Negoice,” said Christian Piedone, quoted by the news.ro agency.

Negoice said he was very happy to join the formation, that he considers Piedone a “hero”. “Romania, Bucharest, where I ran the administration, needs people of common sense, people of good will, and I believe that this group is here,” he said.

Liviu Negoice had two mandates as mayor of Sector 3 and was an important leader of the PDL, the party of former Romanian President Traian Besecu.

Dan Voiculescu also participated in the National Council of the Humanist Social Liberal Party as a founding president and announced that the party would run in all elections next year.
