​Bucharest leads the average out of 10 in the National Assessment 2023. According to the results published by the Minister of Education, 429 averages out of 10 were registered at the national level. 94 of them are in the capital.

The top 5 are Iasi – 28, Cluj – 24, Dolj – 23 and Argesh -19. At the opposite pole are the counties of Karash-Severin, Covasna, Giurgiu, Harghita and Tulcea, where not a single student received an average score of 10, according to the results of the 2023 national assessment.

The results of the 2023 ZNO – grades in the Romanian language and ZNO in mathematics

The Ministry of Education centralized the results of the 2023 ZNO, participation in the ZNO was 95.3%: 154,115 eighth-grade graduates out of 161,652 enrolled took part in the ZNO. Over the past two years, the attendance rate recorded the following values: 93.9% in the 2021 session, respectively 95.5% in the 2022 session.

According to the first results of the 2023 national assessment conducted by Contestatuu, of the 154,115 students present, 117,507 obtained averages above or equal to 5 (five), resulting in a rate of 76.2% (76.8% in 2021, respectively 82.3% in 2022).

23.8% of students received average grades below 5, compared to 17.73% in 2022. The percentage in the 2023 session is comparable to the rate in 2021 (23.2%) and equal to the rate in 2020 (23.8%).

119,732 pupils – 77.4% (preliminary results: 83.9% – 2021, 85.9% – 2022) received grades greater than or equal to 5 (five), and 1,454 pupils received a score of 10 (ten).

116,301 students – 75.4% (67.4% – 2021, 77.5% – 2022) received grades greater than or equal to 5 (fives) at the final examination in mathematics. Number of 10 (ten) grades: 3066.

ZNO in native language and literature 8,507 students – 90.1% (95.9% – 2021 and 96.1% – 2022) received a grade greater than or equal to 5, 63 students – 10 (ten), according to the results of 2023. National assessment.
