Bianca Andreescu experienced the first round of the tournament in Germany with emotions, but the eighth brought her elimination.
Masarova got off to a great start, taking a 3-0 lead and, despite a weak comeback attempt by the Canadian, won the first set.
In the second set, the former winner of the US Open 2019 counted to 2-1, the Spaniard managed to win five games in a row.
The game lasted only one hour and nine minutes.
The Bad Homburg Open is the third edition of the WTA 250 grass court. The first two were won by Angelique Kerber (2021) and Caroline Garcia (2022).
