In the women’s table tennis singles final, Bernadette Schock beat Poland’s Xiaoxin Yang after leading and making a sensational comeback.

After a great start, Jan led 2-0 and 3-1, but Shock fought back to 3-3, and in the deciding set the Romanian won convincingly, the final score 4-3 (4-11, 7-11, 11-7, 8 -11, 13-11, 11-9, 11-3)

Elizaveta Samara won bronze after winning the small final

After losing in the semi-finals to Xiaoxing Yang, a player representing Monaco, with a score of 4-0 (11-9, 11-5, 11-9, 11-4), Elizabeth Samara managed to reach the small final.

In seven sets, the player from Romania defeated Natalia Bayor from Poland with a score of 4-3 (11-9, 4-11, 13-11, 11-7, 9-11, 9-11, 11-7).

Bernadette Shox won the mixed doubles bronze medal on Monday with Ovidiu Ionescu.
