The president of the United Arab Emirates called Putin and expressed full support for the actions of the Russian leadership, the Kremlin said, Sky News reports.

The phone call took place on Saturday, June 24.

The crown prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, was interested in hearing Wagner’s assessment of the uprising, the Kremlin said.

“After receiving comprehensive information, the leader of the UAE declared that he fully supports the actions of the Russian leadership,” the Russian authorities reported.

Officials in the Gulf state did not confirm the phone call.
