Matia Boben, a new player of CFR Cluj

After Filip Otele, Katalin Kebuz and David Sjubankan, CFR Cluj officially introduced Matia Boben on Monday.

“We are happy to announce that central defender Matia Boben has become a new player in our team! Originally from Slovenia, the 29-year-old stopper has played in Italy for Pescara, Livorno and Ternana in recent seasons.

Throughout his career, he also played in Russia, for FC Rostov, as well as in his native country, for Gorica. We wish him congratulations and as many achievements as possible in the cherry form,” the Transylvanian team said on its official website.

Signed by Transfermarkt for €300,000, the centre-back made 24 appearances for Pescara last season in Serie C.

In terms of departures, CFR Cluj parted ways with Denis Kolinger, Christopher Brown and Mihai Bordeianu this summer.
