Romania’s under-21 youth team crashed out of the European Championship, a tournament it hosts, after just two group stage matches. The tricolors were defeated by Spain (3:0) and Ukraine (1:0), and the game drew a lot of criticism, which could cost coach Emil Sanda.

The Romanian U21 national team was eliminated from the European Championship after only two games played.
