The Federal Road Agency of Russia on Sunday urged residents of the Moscow region to avoid traveling on the large M-4 “Don” highway until 10:00 a.m. local time, Reuters reports.

Earlier, in a deleted post, the agency reported on the Telegram channel that traffic restrictions on highways in the Moscow and Tula regions remain in force.

Armed to the teeth, Wagner’s mercenaries set out for Moscow on Saturday, but their leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin, turned them back with only 200km left to, he claims, “avoid bloodshed”.

Belarusian President Oleksandr Lukashenko negotiated an agreement with the leader of the Wagner group, who agreed to de-escalate the situation in Russia, Reuters reports.

Thus, Yevhen Prigozhin agreed to stop the movement of mercenaries through Russia on the condition that the mercenaries’ safety was guaranteed.

The exact details of the deal have not been disclosed, but Russia has dropped the treason case against Prigozhin and he is to move to Belarus, the Kremlin says.
