Rivers in 21 hydrographic basins are under a Code Orange hydrologic warning until noon Sunday, as watercourses in 18 counties are affected. Other river sectors are under yellow code. Significant costs are expected on slopes, streams and creeks, flash floods on small rivers and increased runoff with the crossing of protective quotas. This phenomenon can be observed especially on small rivers in the districts of Alba, Sibiu, Hunedoara, Neamts and Bacau.

“Target phenomena consist of significant leaks on slopes, streams and creeks, flash floods on small rivers, with possible consequences of local flooding and increased flows and levels, with the possibility of exceeding protective quotas. At the same time, we specify that they may occur with greater probability and intensity on some small rivers in the counties of Alba, Sibiu, Hunedoara, Neamts and Bacau,” the quoted source said.
