Bohdan Badya, the president of the “Hydroelectricity” directorate, said that more than a million bills were issued this week, and specified that in a month or two everything would be back to normal.
On Friday, at a press conference, Bohdan Badi was asked which month Hidroelektrica received the billing and when it will be updated.
“Very soon we will catch up. The speed of issuing bills does not create too much pressure on consumers, so there is a certain consistency in the transfer of bills. I can tell you that over a million invoices have been issued this week alone. In terms of technical capacity, we are operating at maximum capacity and at maximum parameters with new IT systems. This is a matter of commercial order in relations with clients, so as not to pressure, but in a month almost two things will go back to normal. We hope that there won’t be any legislative surprises that will put us in a situation of needing to implement different things,” said the president of the Hidroelectrica directorate, quoted by news.ro.
In the Facebook groups of Hidroelectrica customers, several people reported that they received their consumption bills for January, February and March in less than a week.
However, there are also consumers who complain that they have not received bills for December 2022.
Hidroelectrica invoicing delays
Hidroelectrica in January began providing electricity bills delayed for the past nine months, and they will be sent at intervals of one week, rather than “in a stack” over several months, the directorate’s president said in late January. Hydroelectric power station, Bohdan Badya.
Hidroelectrica was overwhelmed by the large number of switchers from other energy suppliers, unable to cope with the huge number of customers, which blocked the billing system.
If the payment amount is too high, people will also be able to pay the bill in installments, but this will require an application, the company said. The request can be sent to the e-mail address [email protected] or sent to the Hidroelectrica offices.
The payment can be spread over a maximum of 6 monthly installments of equal amounts, and during the installment period current bills must be paid together with the installment payments.
A sample application form for residential customers is available here, and a typical application form for non-residential customers is available here.
