After a strong start, Ana took a 4-0 lead in the first set and easily won.
In the second set, the Briton tried to level the match, but after two lost serves, the Romanian went ahead.
In the qualifying final, Ana Bohdan, who became the main favorite after the elimination of Lesia Tsurenko, will meet the winner between Canadian Rebecca Marino (89 WTA) and Russian Anastasia Zakharova (199 WTA).
The Rothesay Classic Birmingham takes place from June 19-25 on grass and is part of the WTA 250. It offers a total prize pool of $259,303 and the reigning champion is Beatrice Haddad Maia.
