
Finance Minister Marcel Bolosh, former Minister of European Projects, announced on Thursday evening that next week an opinion on payment request 2 from PNRR will be provided, and the deadlines set by the European Commission for the latter will be met by two milestones, News .ro reports.
“From the information I have, the notice of payment request #2 will be published next week,” Marcel Bolosh said when asked about the PNRR payment request.
He repeated the idea that the money was not lost.
“I said this is the period we are suspended, we don’t lose €140 million out of €2.8 billion. We cannot wait for them in the Ministry of Finance and, of course, we will adhere to the 6-month deadline set by the European Commission for the completion of the measures provided for in the 2 stages,” the minister also stated.
The Ministry of Investments and European Projects (MIPE) explains on April 18 that Romania has completed a new phase of dialogue with the European Commission regarding the payment of the second tranche of payment from the PNRR for a total net amount of 2.81 billion euros. .
Two milestones are considered incomplete, and Romania has prepared a plan to achieve them. The corresponding money can be obtained later.
As a reminder, the first meeting of the PSD-PNL government headed by Marcel Cholaku will take place on Thursday.
