Netherlands – Croatia 2-4, after extra time, in the semi-finals of the League of Nations

The Batavians opened the scoring in the 34th minute thanks to Donyell Malen, who won on the break.

The second half brought a reverse score, and the ending was simply fiery. Croatia restored parity through Andrej Kramaric in the 55th minute, while Pasalic put Zlatko Dalic’s men ahead in the 72nd minute.

However, Holland scored in the last phase of the match, in the sixth minute of added time, when Lang again went under the bar from inside the penalty area after a long attack.

In two extra innings, the Croats broke free. First, Petkovic put his team ahead again in the 98th minute, and Luka Modric closed the scoring in the 116th minute.

The game was led by the Romanian brigade with Istvan Kovac in the center, who canceled out Croatia’s goal in the last seconds of the second extra time.

That puts Croatia through to the Nations League final and await Thursday’s other semi-final between Spain and Italy to find out their opponent in the final act of the competition.
