Two years ago, Renault joined forces with five large French companies (Atos, Dassault Systèmes, Orange, STMicroelectronics, Thales) to create Software Republic : a French technology and open innovation consortium that aims to contribute to the creation of a European sustainable mobility ecosystem.

By 2025, the initiative aims to launch ten new service and product offerings, incubate at least fifty startups, and offer services to more than fifty territories. As part of the show Viva Technologywhich will take place from June 14 to 17, 2023 at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, presented by Software République H1st Visioninnovative concept car for shared mobility.

Renault H1st Vision: 20 innovations on board

Based on the recent Renault Scenic Vision concept, slightly reworked for the occasion, the concept H1st Vision (for the first vision of a person) integrates functional technologies that illustrate Software Republic’s vision of tomorrow’s human-centric mobility.

The H1st Vision concept was developed in a record time of six months by a team of one hundred people: this technology demonstrator contains no less than 20 innovationswhich allow you to take care of passengers and other road users, making their lives easier.

For example, it offers secure and innovative access to the vehicle using biometric data, unique sound in the cabin, optimized range and battery charging, monitoring and assistance regarding the health of the driver and the vehicle, or the protection of passengers and other road users thanks to predictive notifications

Renault H1st Vision: physical and virtual experience

To go even further, the physical and working vehicle is complemented by a virtual copy that develops in a universe where today independent systems will communicate and interact with each other: infrastructures, energy, public services, users of different categories,…

It provides an opportunity to show the public, decision makers and local authorities what can be done innovative and sustainable mobility, and simulate real-world use cases. Thus, for example, it is possible to improve safety in the vehicle or for other road users (bicycles, pedestrians, emergency vehicles) thanks to communication and prediction systems.

H1st Vision’s concept is highly interconnected with the environment, allowing it to constantly communicate with digital and physical ecosystems. While it offers a vision of tomorrow’s mobility, this innovative concept car also aims for it develop new business modelsfor example, with the ability to book and pay for a service directly from your car, such as parking or a charging station.
