Casper Ruud praises Novak Djokovic after winning his 23rd Grand Slam title
Despite failing to make the Roland Garros final this time around, Kasper Ruud remained pretty positive after falling short against Novak Djokovic and had nothing but praise for the Serb.
“Novak, another day, another record for you, congratulations! You rewrote the history of tennis, it’s hard to explain how incredible what you do and how good you are, how much you inspire people all over the world. So congratulations to you and your team, I know it’s the best in each of you.
I’m glad to be the first one to welcome you from the stage, many others will welcome you, because you are doing an extraordinary thing, a fantastic job. Congratulations once again.” – said Casper Ruud.
Ranked 4th in the ATP rankings, Ruud had a message for the fans, the organizers, but not least his staff.
“I don’t know where to start… I thank the organizers, thank you for everything that is happening here at Roland Garros. We had great weather, we are all looking forward to the next edition where we want to achieve the same good results.
Thank you to everyone involved, sponsors, volunteers, thank you to those who stand from morning to night to make sure everything goes well, everyone gives us a good mood.
Thank you for all your work, for always being there for me, for pushing me from behind every time, not just for these two weeks, but for every day of my life since I was a little kid.
It has been a long journey and I am very happy that we can be here again in the Roland Garros final. We will continue to work and do it as seriously as possible to get here again.
Last but not least, thank you to the audience, it’s been great playing in front of you for the past few weeks. This arena is extraordinary, always full, pleasant atmosphere. There is a lot of passion for tennis here and I hope to be back next year in front of you.” – concluded Casper Ruud.
