Partying in the air is the new fashion for the super rich – From $13,000 per flight hour

For some soon party on earth will imagine an old-fashioned entertainment: his multi-million dollar hotelier Dubai launches a new “patent” promotion in the air: one hour of “five-star party on the plane” costs $13,000.

Kabir Mulchandani, founder and chairman of luxury hotel group FIVE, bought an Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty, which he turned into an “innovative combination of hospitality and privacy” by equipping it with dance floor, large double bed and shower.

A plane with a capacity of more than 16 people can be rented for $13,000 an hour.

According to the company, an $80 million 9H-FIVE flight with 16 people from London to Dubai could cost around $5,000 per person.

Alohi Batra, chief executive of the FIVE hotels and resorts group, said the famed soccer player recently chartered a plane to travel from the Middle East to Madrid.

“I can’t name him, but you don’t have to be Einstein to understand who the public is for these flights with such prices,” he said.

He adds that renting a 9H-FIVE is about 20-30% more expensive than renting a regular private jet. “However, our plane has a bedroom, a shower and enough space for 16 people. It has sound and light to let its passengers know they can have fun while traveling.”

Asked about the aircraft’s climate impact, he said the company’s environmental investment in Borneo would provide enough carbon to offset emissions from 500 flight hours this year.
