
Three Afghans were arrested yesterday Thursday (06.08) by the Athens sub-directorate of security on charges of attempted murder of their compatriots in the center of Athens, which took place on Friday, June 2.
A criminal case has been initiated against those arrested, as well as against two more people, for attempted murder with intent, disobedience and violation of weapons legislation.
According to EL.AS, the defendants, holding knives and swords, attacked the Afghan, inflicting injuries on his head, lower back, hips and pelvis.
During the searches carried out in the houses, as well as at the scene of the attack, three knives, a metal knife handle, a metal file, 7 mobile phones, 920 euros, as well as a prison cell were found and confiscated.
At the same time, another foreigner was detained for disobedience, who tried to leave the house where he was staying, with two detainees who also tried to escape, but were stopped by the police.
The detainees were taken to the prosecutor’s office.
